Family Programs

Each month, this program brings together our JCV tweens and teens along with their parents for an hour-and-a-half session.

This year’s JCV Family Program focus is “My Jewish Identity and My Place in the Jewish Community.”

Each session is self-contained, but woven through the entire program are each family’s Jewish roots; the local, regional, and worldwide Jewish communities; and a taste of Judaism, Talmud, Jewish history, and Jewish music. We will end the year by learning about and creating Jewish cartoons.

Adding their assistance to Cantor Marci Vitkus are Robin Schoenewald, with her vast resources and love for Jewish education; and Mark Silvermintz, who has experience teaching middle school students about Jewish history; as well as members of our congregation who offer us special talents in the areas of study.
